Loving life’s variety
When did you last consider the diversity of your life? A quick look at my messages this morning revealed praise for this year’s marmalade vintage (an established tradition begun by Mr. Watt and me, a few years back), some pictures of a snow-covered garden in Canada, as well as a photo of my book ‘Interviews Sorted’ … it seems I’ve converted a friend who in their words doesn’t do books. All this and a follow-up email about coaching and another friend’s book launch on Amazon. And just in case this isn’t sufficient variety for one person, I’m waiting for a food order to be arrive so that I can get on with a birthday cake!
It’s fair to say that I’m a girl with interests yet many of them remain hidden. Some in cupboards and others hiding behind shoes in the wardrobe. There’s a tapestry on a stretcher, an armless rabbit, and a side-table in pieces, all stripped and sanded ready to paint. I seem to leave a trail of crafting behind me wherever I go, yet I still begin new projects. What unfinished projects do you hope to complete in 2026?
I love my writing projects, and I always enjoy my coaching assignments, although I’m always seeking new things to take up my time. I doubt I’ll ever open the shop of my dreams selling homemade cakes and scones alongside marmalade and Indian block printed greetings cards (who can afford the postage?) but that doesn’t stop me dreaming about it does it? What dreams do you keep coming back to?
Right now, two of my fully completed projects are available on Amazon, my books:
· Interviews Sorted You’ve Got This – just published (Jan 2026)
· How to Be the Best Candidate Every Single Time – published last summer (Jun 2025)
