Hello, I’m Heather and this is what I do …
Gosh, how many times have you thought about how you’ll describe yourself? You may be wondering why I’ve adopted this title to write about today. Well, there’s something exciting about a bright spring day that’s as good as a new collaboration and a great conversation.
It’s almost time … I’m itching to tell you about my new book although you’ll need some incentive to read it, I get that. So, for one day only, here’s a little updated intro. all about me. The picture is one of those chosen for the back cover of my next book. I dropped the egg from my Gran’s hens straight after the photo (Mum said).
There’s nothing unusual about a CV refresh, although despite my apparent skills, I’m typical of the cobbler’s children’s shoes! But yesterday I decided that I shouldn’t keep wheeling out my resourcing achievements from 2019 without, at least, some reference to the books I’ve published, let alone how I spend my time these days. So, I gave myself a bit of a makeover!
I’m a girl from South London who’s done good. I had in mind to follow a creative career, but trained as a secretary then ran with HR. I made a success out of learning while working and describe myself as curious and colourful. I’ve worked with some fabulous colleagues and clients along the way, and my Christmas card list (yes, I still send cards) is testament to the wonderful people I now call friends.
I love that I somehow got into writing, first for my blog and then to create books. Two to help you get ‘recruitment ready’ and another for your Easter reading list. Yes, it’s almost here, A Red Lipstick Lover’s Life at Seventy – What’s Next? It’s a kind of scrapbook in words about my life.
There’s no retirement age on my life plan, but I’ve been switching up the balance between writing and individual coaching, rather than chasing those corporate dreams. But if you think I can help you, I probably can, so why not get in touch? Let’s chat
